Devendra Banharta key figure of the freak folk movement, will offer two dates in Spain as part of his Devendra Banhart Solo Tour. The artist will showcase a solo repertoire that will highlight his most personal sound universe. Raised between Houston and Caracas, his music draws on influences as diverse as salsa, ska, rocksteady, psychedelia and the most experimental folk, elements that come together in an artistic proposal as unclassifiable as it is deeply human.
Recognized for his poetic sensitivity, his musical eclecticism and his charisma on stage, Devendra He has built a unique career that crosses stylistic and geographical borders. Over more than two decades, he has collaborated with artists of the caliber of Vashti Bunyan, Yoko Ono, Caetano Veloso, ANOHNI or Beck. In addition, he has maintained a vibrant parallel career as a visual artist, with exhibitions in spaces such as the MoCA Los Angeles or the San Francisco SFMOMA.
