The social networks of Ktulu have announced the death of their guitarist between 2007 and 2013, David Roig. The causes of death have not been announced.
It was the band Ktulu that announced through their social networks the news of the death of David Roig Ramírez, who was the group’s guitarist for several years. In the post, Ktulu remembered him and thanked him for his years in the group, but did not reveal the exact causes of his death. Roig was one of the prominent members of the group during the years in which he recorded and performed with them in concert.
David Roig became known in the metal scene as a member of the band Anthropophobiaa group of which he was a part for more than a decade, to later join the return line-up of Ktulu starting in 2007. Since then he was a member of the group until he distanced himself in 2013. Since then, he focused on creating solo material under his own name, expanding his sound palette. In 2023 he presented the result of his solo work, presenting songs like “Post” or “Dept”.
With Antropophobia he recorded diverse material, from a long list of demos to albums such as “Bleah” (98) or “Vacuum” (99). As for Ktulu, Roig appeared in works such as “Cannibal Show” (08) and “Makinal” (12), as well as in the direct “Vision in the cannibal’s house” (11). Also appears in “Return to the basement”the 2021 documentary directed by Nico Aguerre which summarized the career of the Catalan band.
