On the morning of this Monday, August 10, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake shook the west of the country, leaving behind at least 224 dead and hundreds of injured at the time of writing this news. David Bisbal was in Bogotá to record the first edition of Operación Triunfo USA and has told on his networks how he experienced the earthquake.
Before giving his statements in a calm manner, the singer recorded a video from his hotel room in which you can see how the lamp moves from side to side while he reacts live: «An earthquake, I hope nothing happens, my God. Fucking mother, please, little virgin…”, you understand.
The next day, he said that his first reaction upon waking up to the tremor was, naturally, “a little panic”: “After about a minute since everything was over, a lot of alarms began to sound as per protocol from other buildings that were adjacent to mine,” he says.
The earthquake has not seriously affected the capital of the country, where Bisbal was located, but it has wreaked havoc in provinces in the interior of Colombia: “From here I want to send a greeting and a huge kiss to the affected people,” concluded the singer. On the other hand, the Government has confirmed that there are 164 Spaniards in the country who are “unaccounted for.”
