Danny L Harle has shared the first details of ‘Cerulean’, which he considers his debut album, despite having released ‘Harlecore’ in 2021. This will be available from next February 13 and will include great collaborations: Caroline Polachek, PinkPantheress, Clairo, Oklou, Kacha, Julia Michaels and MNEK.
Harle has described ‘Cerulean’ as “a tidal wave of euphoric melancholy.” This is also a good way to describe the latest single from the album, ‘Crystallise My Tears’ featuring Oklou and MNEK. It is the third single from the album and comes after ‘Starlight’ and ‘Azimuth’: “I simply sent the song to Oklou, he nailed the vocals and sent it back to me,” says Harle about the collaboration.
The British artist has also explained, very briefly, why he considers ‘Cerulean’ to be his debut album: “It really is the great one,” he declared. He also claimed to have been inspired by the film ‘Stalker’ by Andrei Tarkovsky, the opera ‘Einstein on the Beach’ by Philip Glass, the music from the Dark Souls video game series and the composers Monteverdi, Thomas Tallis and William Byrd.
Danny L Harle will be presenting his new album ‘Cerulean’ in our country next February, a few days before the official launch of the project. It will be in the NITSA room in Barcelona on February 6.
