Shortly after sharing “Silverlines”, the song he presented with Labyrinth, Damiano David–until now best known for being a vocalist of Maneskin– shares a new single, “Born With A Broken Heart.”
Step by step we are getting an idea of what Damiano David, singer of the Eurovision rock band Maneskin, has to offer us alone. In fact, this “Born With A Broken Heart” further expands its stylistic palette and points towards what we are going to discover in the coming months. Although he himself told us quite a few things when we interviewed him a few weeks ago.
About “Born With A Broken Heart”, the artist himself comments that: “When I wrote this song I was coming out of a very dark place, I felt emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, whether good or bad. This was happening while I was starting the most significant relationship of my life and the fear of not being capable or not being prepared was great. I think the song was a way for me to make sense of what I was feeling and see it from a less scary perspective. “I’m glad to say I don’t feel that way today, but I think a lot of people can relate to the feeling of not being good enough.”
To complement the song, David accompanies it with a video clip directed by Aerin Morenoin which the singer himself co-stars in a truly theatrical choreography.
