Cvto display their brutality in their debut EP “Restos”

“Remains” It is the first EP of Cvtoa new band from Barcelona with a swampy, intense and dirty sound. Publish Discs El Colmado and they themselves define their proposal as “turbo-grime”, which can be translated as “sludge, post-metal, noise and screamo” mixed in a formula not suitable for the faint of heart.

After premiering it in RockzoneCvto officially share what is their first album. This is “Remains”; which is now available in streaming and which will soon be released in a limited physical edition on cassette by Discos El Colmado and Cintas Juan.

Members of formations such as Ansïa, Neguit, Viven or We Are Impalawho in this project intertwine their energy to take their music one step further towards the darkness and the swampy. They themselves talk about “turbo-filth”, something they define as “a sonic swamp somewhere between the heaviest sludge and the rawest noise: rock-bottom tuning, damaging volumes and a lot of distortion.” Hence their music can remind us of bands like Thou, Full of Hell, Sumac, Chat Pile, Neurosis or Converge.

Cvto are Ander Soto (drums), Carlos Aranda (bass, noise), Ioly Pitas (vocals, noise) and Sergi Cuxart (guitar, noise), and these four songs (“Flores nueva”, “Sanar”, “Sunderland” and “Cuerpos”) have been recorded, produced, mixed and mastered at the end of July 2025 in the basement of Trash Zone Studio by JC, in Bellvitge.
