The Cranc universe –Mallorca and Menorca– has had a whole decade of adventure and the first event to celebrate it will be May 7 to 9 with the Cranc Illa de Mallorca Festivalwhich has just presented its fourth edition.
Its lineup combines established proposals, emerging bands and local talent, including names like those of Temples, Women, SVSTO either Maika Makovskiamong many others.
Faithful to its commitment to the local cultural fabric, the Cranc Illa de Mallorca Festival It will also have parallel activities and there will be a section focused on the professional public.
The co-director of the Cranc Illa de Mallorca Festival, Daniel Herbera, revealed at the presentation press conference that for this fourth edition, places that are already key in its idiosyncrasy will be maintained, such as Can Balaguer, Main Theater and Es Baluard Museumin addition to incorporating the room It’s Gremi as a new reference point for the festival.
Those present at the press conference also highlighted the efforts of Pitxorines for maintaining the Balearic tradition. Carmela and Bel, members of the group, were grateful for the opportunity to perform on May 8 at the Teatre Principal in Palma presenting their new album, something that as Majorcans they defined as “a dream.”
The English Quartet Temples It is one of the first confirmations of the Cranc Illa de Mallorca of 2026. Other names announced are the Barcelona trio Womenwith a new album under his arm, the new project of the former Steaks Carla Parmenter SVSTO; the Mallorcan singer-songwriter Maika Makovskia new promise of national indie like Diplomatic Stripe or the Argentine shoegaze group End of the World.
There will also be room for Balearic proposals such as those of Two Little Rooms, Malanima either Lickand sessions by DJs as renowned as Gentle either Lola Von Dage. Day passes and tickets are now available, and the festival will also have free access proposals such as those of Can Balaguer or the patio Es Baluard Museum.
Parallel activities will soon be announced, which will include the CRANC PRO professional programming and other proposals designed to generate encounters, community and new audiences, such as the famous Battle of the Bands, the showcases or the yoga sessions by YogaOne Arxiduc.
