The British band headlines the last event of this year’s edition of Bilboloopwhich will take place on November 14 at the Azkena room in Bilbao.
After the first date on October 17, with the performances of Dutch Mustard + Barrrk, Bilboloop will be back on November 17 with another day full of music. After the previous concert to warm up the engines at 8pm in the Ambigú (to be defined), the Azkena room will feature performances by the bands Courting and Full Cab.
Courtingthe Liverpool band formed by Sean Murphy-O’Neill, Sean Thomas, Joshua Cope and Connor McCann, will present their third album, “Lust for Life, Or: How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story”a direct and contradictory work that combines luminous pop with bold experimentation. With only eight songs, the album condenses the essence of the group: irony, energy and sonic precision. Influenced by both 70s proto-punk and modern pop, it is a collage of references and styles that clash and complement each other. After the theatricality of his previous “New Last Name” (2024), this new work seeks immediacy and clarity, although its apparent simplicity hides a very thoughtful concept, focused on duality: black and white, two figures, eight symmetrical songs. With anthems like “Stealth Rollback” or “Eleven Sent (This Time)” and the ambitious “Lust for Life”, Courting consolidates its identity between chaos and elegance, closing a cycle with its most cohesive and brave album to date.
Full Cab is an alternative rock band formed in Bilbao in 2020 by Liam McDonnell (vocals), Mikel Puertas (guitar), Asier Astorkiza (bass) and Adrián González (drums). Their debut came with a first demo that was selected among the best of the year by our publication Zarata. After winning the contest Rockin and tour national venues, they published their first album in 2022, “Out of Order”, produced by Hans Kruger, which stood out for its raw and direct sound. During 2023 they explored new paths at El Tigre Estudios, marking an evolution that crystallized with the arrival of their second LP, “Full Cab” (2025). More mature and ambitious, the album reflects a cohesive and determined band, which has raised its technical and compositional level without losing the energy of its beginnings. Produced by Jon Arrizabalaga and Xabier Egia, the album has taken the group to tour throughout Spain and debut in the United Kingdom, consolidating Full Cab as one of the most solid proposals in Basque alternative rock.
