Cosquín Rock becomes great in Spain

Cosquín Rock is one of the most emblematic cultural events in Argentina and Latin America, with 25 years of travel and being an infinite source of unforgettable moments. In Spain, it is heading to something big. The second edition in our country of Cosquín Rock this weekend was held in Valladolid and received more than 10,000 people in the Arena penguins. Jenesaispop was an official one.

In addition to the gastronomy offered by the festival, with author restaurants such as the Matapozuelos apothecary or Arzuaga workshop, the main course of the day was the performance of Sebastián Yatra. The Colombian brought together a crowd with which he celebrated the launch of ‘Milagro’, his latest album, and his most important successes – ‘Red Tacons’,’ Couple of the Year ‘,’ Traiciento’– together with a band of six musicians and a show that was characterized by great production.

The second Spanish edition of Cosquín stood out for its diversity, both musical and cultural, along the three scenarios (Valladolid, Mahou vibrates, the forest) available to the festival. This began around 5pm with Mexicans La Garfield. Later, Silvestre and the orange contributed the touch of eighties pop, while León Gieco and Agárrate Catalina decided to bet on social criticism and denounced those countries “which call peace and make weapons.”

After the Marlena show, the contrasts between Ysy A Argentine Trap and the elegant hymns of Love of Lesbian made it clear that it is possible to include music of all kinds in a single day. Nor was the British indie of The Kooks British on the Valladolid stage or the pop rock pop of Barry B and the generational hymns of Duncan Dhu in the Mahou vibra.

The most iconic momentazos in the history of Cosquín Rock, such as the chaotic concert of Charly García in 2004 or the massive pogo of divided that same year, considered the greatest in Argentina, are eternal. This is the legacy of a festival that has already signed its second year of success in Spain, and for many more.
