Omar Apollo will offer condoms, as well as t-shirts, in some special versions of his new album, 'God Said No', which goes on sale on June 28. On May 31 he presents it at Primavera Sound.
Specifically, Omar has placed condoms and t-shirts inside the limited edition “box” of 'God Said No', which also includes a vinyl and a CD. The plastic sleeve of the condom comes with the album title printed on it.
'God Said No' will also be available individually on all available record formats, CD, vinyl and cassette tape. Omar says the content of 'God Said No' is a “reflection” of his life over the past couple of years.
The first preview of 'God Said No' has been known for weeks: it is a mid-tempo R&B-pop called 'Spite' where the influence of Frank Ocean and Miguel continues to be felt. 'Spite' is cut 2 of the album, which includes only one collaboration, that of Mustafa, in cut 5. The new single, 'Dispose of Me', comes out this Thursday, May 16.
