The love of Italian music by Carlos Caraballo (Colectivo da Silva) and Anouck The Band has led them to create an EP that will be released soon and that aims to be a kind of summer oasis this fall. ‘Mi Amor’ is the first song they wrote and it is a complete fantasy. It is also the Song of the Day.
‘Mi Amor’ brings together everything good about the Italian song of the 60s and 70s: classic instrumentation, charisma and a wayward romance. Both artists sing in Italian, English, Spanish and even some French while remembering how they loved each other (“I love you, je t’aime, I love you, but I have to leave”). Of course, the topic is far from being sad.
Anouck deploys her sensual voice in the first verses as she sings about being “free” in her songs, in which both have “come back into existence”: “Only through your eyes do I finally recognize myself.”
The song also contains small nods to great artists of Italian music, such as Mina or Franco Battiato, protagonist of the first single they released together, titled ‘Suena Battiato’. The video clip, recorded entirely in Valencia, is a summer dream.
