Coldplay's "green" album: 'Moon Music' will be the first "ecoCD"

Coldplay and Max Martin, predictable in ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’

Coldplay have finally released the first single from ‘Moon Music’, the sugary ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’. The album, which will succeed ‘Music of the Spheres’, will be available on October 4.

‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’ is another collaboration with pop giant Max Martin, who already worked with the English band on their previous album. And that’s how it sounds. Without any surprising element, Coldplay’s latest advance is a pop rock song with electronic touches about falling in love, not as if it were the first time, but “maybe for the first time.” They also continue to build songs designed to be performed live, with that final part being so “sing along friendly”.

Although the melody is one that is easy to listen to, partly because we have heard it a thousand times, the worst thing about ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’ is how predictable it is. Unfortunately, listening to the song until the first chorus is like having heard it in its entirety. Taking into account the presence of the Swedish producer, it is possible that the rest of the songs on ‘Moon Music’ take the same path as this one, but who knows. Maybe Coldplay will be able to surprise us again.

We remind you that Coldplay will continue with its ecological commitment with both the vinyl and the ‘Moon Music’ CDs, which will be manufactured with recycled material.
