Chucho Valdés will lead the fifth edition of Villains del Jazz

The cycle Jazz villains It will be held in Madrid from September 14 and for several monthsin some of the main rooms of the city.

In its programming we will find names of the caliber of the mythical Cuban musician Chucho Valdésthe Brazilian Eliane Elias and the American Ledisi.

We can also see the American bandolinist Chris Thile and the trio Gilsonsformed by two grandchildren and son of the mythical Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil. They will be more than sixty artists related to contemporary jazz, Latin and electronic jazz, the R&B, the Afrobeat and other permeable genres. Living legends will arrive as João Bosco, Lole Montoya, Antonio Serrano and Yellowjackets. Some artists are going to act in the city for the first time: it is the case of Ledisi, Chris Thile either Sina Jobarteh. In this edition the 25th anniversary of “54” Streetthe iconic musical film: mythical musicians will perform that were part of the recording: pianist himself Chucho Valdés, Chano Domínguez, Eliane Elias and Paquito de Rivera They would do it twice. The cycle is organized in close collaboration with Jazzmadrid, the festival organized by the Culture Area of ​​the City of Madrid, in spaces such as the Villainos Room, the Pavón Theater, El Albéniz, Los Teatros del Channel, the Fernán-Gómez Center, La Riviera and Clamores.
