Christine and the Queens have canceled the remainder of the tour to present their latest album, the triple ‘Paranoïa, Angels, True Love’, which we will find in our lists with the best of 2023.
In a brief statement, it is reported that the artist will not be able to continue due to health problems. The tour, which in Spain could be seen both in Barcelona and Madrid thanks to Primavera Sound, had to resume this weekend in Montreal and ended in Paris, where the grand finale of the tour was supposed to take place at the end of November.
The statement indicates: “Red (aka Christine and the Queens) fell ill today and, due to medical advice, has been forced to make the difficult decision to cancel the rest of the 2023 concerts. The tour was going to restart tonight in Montreal and I would end up in Paris at the end of November. Returns are available at points of purchase.
According to the tour that still appears on its official website, the canceled dates are about 8 in the United States and Canada in October, and 7 in Europe in November. This section did not pass through Spain.
Last spring we were able to interview Christine and the Queens and the artist told us about how hard this stage was when he talked about his relationship with his parents, transsexuality or depression: «The album has me screwed because all my truth is in he. I wish I didn’t have to relive certain things… (…) People have no idea how brave I have to be all the time. I have to be with my fists up all the time. I hope one day my music is received for what it is and I have less to fight for. The rest is all said.
