Christina Aguilera shines at the premiere of her new show

Christina Aguilera has closed 2023 by premiering a new concert in Las Vegas. The Rolling Stone chronicle describes a show that is “opulent,” “intimate” and, above all, more inspired by the ‘Burlesque’ era (2010) than any of her previous shows.

Located at the Voltaire club, Christina Aguilera’s new show has featured “burlesque artists, contortionists and acrobats” and has been extended to 90 minutes. Among the curiosities of the setlist it is worth highlighting the new orchestral arrangement of ‘Not Myself Tonight’, the opening song, and also the new arrangements of ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Fighter’.

Delving into her cabaret side, very present in ‘Back to Basics’ (2006), Aguilera has sung versions of ‘You Don’t Own Me’ by Lesley Gore, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ by Shirley Bassey, ‘Guy What Takes His Time ‘ by Ralph Rainger and ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ by Jule Styne, without forgetting ‘Lady Marmalade’ or several songs from the ‘Burlesque’ soundtrack. It goes without saying that, vocally, she is in top form.
