Chill Mafia splits with album and tour

Chill Mafia, the Pamplona collective behind minor underground hits such as ‘No se k me pasa’, ‘31014’ and their first viral hit, ‘Gazte arruntaren koplak’, has announced its split with the release of ‘Agur eta ohore x allá va la despedida’, its final mixtape, and also with the announcement of a tour that will cover the whole of northern Spain, but also other cities.

Specifically, Chill Mafia’s final tour will pass through Gasteiz on October 31, Logroño on November 1, Rentería on November 16, Iruña on December 25, Bilbao on January 3, Madrid on February 26 and Barcelona, which will host the end of the tour on a date yet to be determined. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, September 19, starting at 10 am.

Oso Polita, their label, clarifies that the members of Chill Mafia will continue with their solo careers, including Ben Yart, one of the most well-known faces of the group.

‘Agur eta ohore x allá va la despedida’, the album that brings the story of Chill Mafia to a close, is, in the words of Oso Polita, a work in which “they once again show their interest in exploring new musical territories, and their undeniable talent for making urban rhythms and folklore go hand in hand and provide the perfect shelter for their provocative lyrics and unique slang”. The album includes already known singles such as ‘Puta ripagaña’ or ‘Mus corrido’, as well as a collaboration with Nerve Agent.

The press release states that “Chill Mafia closes an important chapter and marks a before and after in the history of Basque music, where they have left a mark and a legacy that will continue to inspire new generations to break molds and find their own voice.”
