Chiara Oliver falls from number 1 out of the top 100 of Discos España

Chiara Oliver has plummeted from the entire top 100 best-selling albums in Spain with ‘La Libreta Rosa’, her debut EP, which also went from number 1. The performance of ‘La Libreta Rosa’ on the Spanish album chart has been unusual: the EP went straight to number 1 in sales, the following week it dropped to 2, then returned to 1 and, in the current week, it completely falls off the list.

The strange passage of ‘la libreta rosa’ on the Promusicae list may have to do with the fact that its good acceptance among Oliver’s fans has not contaminated the general public. It seems that Oliver’s “fanbase” has done its homework… but then the EP has not generated interest in the average buyer or listener, not even gradually over time. A hit single would have helped keep ‘la libreta rosa’ on the list, but there hasn’t been one.

The strongest entry of the week on the Spanish album chart is shared by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign with their new joint album, ‘Vultures 2’, which positions itself at number 16. In the United States ‘Vultures 2’ has entered at number 2, a humiliation for Kanye, who until now had managed to score 11 direct number 1s in the country. Taylor Swift, his historical enemy, has crossed his path again.

Urban icon Justin Quiles has made his second and penultimate entry on the Spanish album chart. ‘Permanente’ is now at number 43. ‘Permanente’ is still far from the top 4 of ‘La última promesa’, a Platinum Record in Spain, and the top 7 of ‘Realidad’. However, it is still a significant improvement on the number of ‘La promesa’, which did not go beyond number 89.

Finally, power metal band Blind Guardian enters the list at number 77 with the reissue – or rather “revision” – of their classic 1992 album, ‘Somewhere Far Beyond’, which is released to mark the album’s 30th anniversary. ‘Somewhere Far Beyond Revisited’ is also the best-selling vinyl of the week in Spain, placing twelfth.
