The new single taken from 'BRAT' – after 'Von dutch', 'Club classics' and 'b2b' – is '360', the song that opens the album using a bailonga base of Atlanta bass polished in the style of hyperpop . It's the Song of the Day.
In '360', Charli crowns herself by leaving a series of instantly memorable phrases. “I am your favorite reference” could be dedicated to Camila Cabello, who also publishes a single today. “I'm all over the place, I'm like Julia” is a reference to Julia Fox.
The video clip for '360' plays with that last phrase by inviting a series of actresses and influencers that you know to the party. Not only is Julia Fox there, but Rachel Sennott, Chloë Sevigny, Emma Chamberlain and Hari Nef are also gathered to look for the next “it's girl on the internet.”
The video is a wealth of spectacular shots located between editorial aesthetics and surrealism. It includes a not-so-veiled tribute to Robyn, probably Charli XCX's, and everyone's, “favorite reference.”
