Charli XCX announces album ‘Wuthering Heights’

A few days ago Charli XCX surprised us with ‘House’, her song with John Cale. ‘Wuthering Heights’ is the fruit of the artist’s work with Emerald Fennell for the film adaptation of the novel ‘Wuthering Heights’.

Now we know the details of the album that will include it, and we can hear a second song called ‘Chains of Love’. An eighties-inspired power ballad. The album will be out on February 13.

Charli

Charli XCX has made this album with the author of the film’s soundtrack Finn Keane. They were both influenced by Todd Hayne’s documentary about The Velvet Underground. As many of you will remember, Charli XCX even said that the successor to ‘BRAT’ could be influenced by Velvet. We don’t know if he already had this album in mind or if he ended up mixing projects.

The album will have 12 songs, starting with ‘House’ and this new one being ‘Chains of Love’ as track 5.
