Charli XCX and Billie Eilish enter the global top 3 with ‘Guess’

Charli XCX has made a masterstroke by turning a bonus track into the best debut of her career on Spotify’s global chart. She has achieved this with the help of Billie Eilish, the first time she has agreed to be a “featuring” on a song.

The remix of ‘Guess’ enters at number 3 on Spotify’s global charts with 6.857 billion streams, chart data confirms. Although it can’t be beaten by Jimin’s ‘Who’, which remains at number 1, or Billie’s own ‘Birds of a Feather’, which remains at number 2, it is – as we say – xcx’s best debut on Spotify.

In the US, the remix of ‘Guess’ featuring Billie Eilish shoots up to number 1 after debuting at number 183 after just two hours of counting. It has accumulated 2.183 billion plays in its first day of release in the North American country. ‘Guess’ gives Charli her first number 1 on Spotify US since ‘Fancy’, 10 years ago.

The video for the remix of ‘Guess’, on the other hand, has nearly 5 million views on YouTube. The interesting thing is that it was filmed last Sunday, six days ago.

The ‘BRAT’ era continues to bring Charli XCX hits. The album, by the way, had already given xcx her best debut on Spotify as well, with 15.4 million streams on its first day.
