Cervatana returns to the present with “Cap. III – Metis”

Cervatanathe band formed by Miguel García and Jose Ugíaof Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimbanext to Fran Sanchez of KELIAreturns to the present with second single, “Cap. III – Metis”.

After the electronic and almost raver outburst of “Cap. IV – La Bomba”, Cervatana surprise us again with a song that takes another path within electronics. The band formed by Miguel García and Jose Ugía, from Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba, along with Fran Sánchez from KELIA, shows a more intimate side of the group both musically and in the lyrics of the song.

What in “La Bomba” was pure energy, in “Metis” is more atmosphere, but everything fits into a universe that will move, they point out, between krautrock, techno, big beat and even ambient. In his words, if that one was more “Justice or Daft Punk, this one is more James Blake or Moderat.”

The video clip is by the director Paula Rubiowith the creative direction and original idea of Jose Ugia. It stars Mikelo, a renowned artist from Emeritus who has made a career as a painter, guitarist and set designer. It was recorded in the vicinity of ‘La Charca’, a common name used by locals to refer to the Roman Proserpina Reservoir.

The two songs that we know about Cervatana so far have been co-produced by the band and Jordi Gil in Sputnik Recording Studiosand the master’s degree was given by Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Mastering).

After debuting with their intense live performance at the last Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia, the trio will present their proposal at events such as Sound Isidro, on May 8 at Sala El Sol, and summer festivals such as Bilbao BBK Live or Canela Party.
