CDJ3000: Finally, Pioneer updates its Top CDJ

Pioneer CDJ3000

After several months of waiting, Pioneer DJ has launched the CDJ3000, the natural evolution of the 2000NXS2. It seems they have listened to their customers, and this new player is more powerful than ever.

The competition is increasingly fierce, with Denon and its SC6000 leading the way. The CDJ2000NXS2 needed an update for a long time, and yesterday Pioneer finally called us together (via Zoom, the pandemic rules) to present its new spearhead: the CDJ3000.

Heading the battery of improvements is the new 9-inch touch screen, which makes, as we saw in the presentation, browsing the folders on your USB drive very comfortable. New ways of sorting and searching, and an improvement to the overall OS greatly improve the user experience. This is also helped by the eight Hot Cue keys, located in this model under the screen.

Another notable improvement is the Key Sync button, which obviously does the same thing as the original Beat Sync, which put tracks at the same BPM, but with pitch. You can even change the tone from the touch screen.

You also have the new Touch Cue function, which allows you to preview a part of the track that is playing simply by touching the waveform on the screen, without your audience hearing it. Dedicated buttons for Beat Jump, Stacked Waveform and Link Cue are other operational improvements.

Pioneer DJ also places a lot of emphasis on the new jogwheel. Half the latency of the NXS2 and smoother and more resistant operation manage to improve what thousands of clubs and festivals already considered unbeatable.
