Caroline Polachek gives away 7 new songs for Valentine’s Day

Caroline Polachek has decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by publishing the deluxe edition of ‘Desire, I Want to Turn Into You’, the best album of last year for JENESAISPOP, as recorded in our 2023 Yearbook (now on sale), and also for the readers. This edition includes up to 7 new songs.

In fact, the release not only coincides with Valentine’s Day, but also with the first anniversary of ‘Desire, I Want to Turn Into You’, an album that earned him a Grammy nomination. For this reason, the Everasking Edition (as the artist has titled it) includes two new versions of the old songs ‘I Believe’ and ‘Butterfly Net’. While the first is an acoustic version, the second is a remix with Weyes Blood.

Likewise, Caroline Polachek includes ‘Dang’, a song she published in October, among the 7 songs added to the deluxe edition. Their reinterpretation of ‘Spring Is Coming with a Strawberry in the Mouth’ by Operating Theater and ‘Pharmacoma (for Ben Deitz)’ by Default Genders (which Polachek titles ‘Coma’) are also part of the special edition, which complete ‘ Meanwhile’ and ‘Gambler’s Prayer’.

This is the tracklist for ‘Desire, I Want to Turn Into You: Everasking Edition’:

1. Welcome to My Island
