Carolina Yuste will be Massiel in the new Movistar series

‘La Canción’, the new Movistar Plus+ series about Spain’s first victory in Eurovision, already has a lead actress. In this way, Carolina Yuste will be in charge of getting into Massiel’s shoes.

Known for her participation in ‘Carmen y Lola’, for which she won the Goya for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in 2018, or ‘Hasta el cielo’, Carolina Yuste will star in the platform’s new original series. ‘La Canción’ will revolve around Massiel’s victory in the 1968 Eurovision edition, when Spain obtained its first victory with the mythical ‘La, la, la’.

The project began before summer and, as verTele! confirms, filming has already begun with Yuste in the lead role. The series will focus on the singer’s artistic journey, the process by which RTVE ended up choosing Massiel to represent Spain and the controversy with Joan Manuel Serrat, who was originally chosen to attend the contest.
