Carolina Durante sings about self-destruction in “Joderse la vida”

Carolina Durante have just released a second preview of their upcoming album. After “Elice tu propia aventura” comes “Joderse la vida”, a song in which they sing about self-destruction and life in a band.

It is evident that Carolina Durante from Madrid are maturing before our eyes and this is demonstrated by these first songs that they are sharing from what will be their next album. You only need to look at both the sound and the lyrics of “Choose Your Own Adventure” and now “Fuck Your Life” to be clear.

About the song, Martín –the band’s bassist– tells us that “‘Here everyone screws up their life however they want!’ is a phrase my friend María used to say and that we started to use a lot as a joke when someone questioned our self-destructive attitudes. Actions that, at first, are only harmful to oneself, but that in the long run can get out of hand and start to worry and harm the environment. My intention when writing ‘Joderse la vida’ was to develop that joke into a song from a very cynical place.”

The video clip that accompanies this new single “seems to establish, in its own way, a dialogue with its predecessor.” Again produced by Little Spain Square and directed by Ismael de la Trinidad and Teresa Carril you can already see it below these lines.
