Caníbal says goodbye with three special dates

After twenty-one years active, the Cannibal will end its journey on 19th of June with a party in the purest club style with DJ's and special artists.

But before the final farewell, there will be two previous parties. The first of them took place on June 5 and included Queen Omega and Manu Digitalas well as with residents Rule & Hochi. As for June 12, they will participate Rule, Hochi and Arde Valencia Club. And the final party will bring us many surprises on June 19. You can get tickets at this same link.

For just over two decades it has been one of the reference clubs for roots music, with a great commitment to local music that has turned Barcelona's Wednesday nights into a kind of world on the margins of the world. Born from the mythical room Cannibal World of Cerdanyola del Vallès and from the October 8, 2003 in Apolo as Caníbal Sound System, has referred to itself as “The Mecca of Barcelona sound.” Thus, she was committed to roots music, fusion, fusion and urban music that emerged in the city of Barcelona and throughout the Catalan territory. Soul, dancehall, funk, jungle, rumba, drum'n'bass, rap, reggae, ska, afrobeat and even jersey club have been combined in their programming to continue growing during more than a thousand sessions they have gone through more than seven hundred live artists and around five hundred DJs.

The live concerts in the different spaces of the Apolo hall have featured people like Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Txarango, La Pegatina, ZOO, Los Deliqüentes, Toots & The Maytals, Bomba Estéreo, Green Valley, Fermín Muguruza, The Skatalites, Dr. Calypso, Lágrimas de Sangre or Iseo & Dodosound.

The coordinator of Caníbal, Xavi Rivases, points out: “Because of music and thanks to it we have been active for more than two decades. It is almost impossible to thank all the people, companies, groups, collaborators, workers and the public who have passed through Caníbal. Although goodbyes are painful, it is not our style. “We will celebrate for everything that has been, for everyone who has been there and with the gratitude of having enjoyed the club for twenty-one years.”
