Calvin Harris also tries with the country

Everyone wants to get on the country’s train. Calvin Harris, guitar in hand, has uploaded a video singing a preview of his next song, titled ‘Smoke the Pain Away’. On the surface it looks like a theme of country pop to use.

The last thing we knew about the DJ and Scottish producer is that his expected collaboration with Miley Cyrus, ‘Ocean’, had stayed in “Stand by” indefinite. Now, he has put Country. It is the first time from ‘Summer’ (2014) that Harris lends his voice to a song. In fact, that was the most successful of that album (‘motion’) and a great source of memes in recent years.

The clip uploaded to networks finds the artist playing an acoustic guitar and singing a reflective lyrics about “growing and waiting awake in a hotel room.” There is still no departure date for ‘Smoke The Pain Away’, nor is it known if it will be part of a longer project.
