Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso said goodbye in style. After winning 5 Latin Grammys, including the awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Pop Song, the Argentine duo has not taken long to release another song in which they once again laugh at their own house-based success. ‘GIMME MORE’ is the Song of the Day.
Only the 10 nominations they received at the Latin Grammys were enough for Ca7riel and Paco to make history at the awards, being the first Argentine artists to reach this number. In the ‘#TETAS’ video clip, his goal was to get a Latin “Chaddy.” Now that they have it, they release another song in the ironic and self-referential vein of ‘PAPOTA’.
On a jazz house base reminiscent of Paco Amoroso’s solo LP, ‘SAETA’, the Argentines joke about human greed: “I have a million and I want two / I have an angel, but I want God / I have everything I want, but I want what you have.” Their characteristic humor shines in ‘GIMME MORE’ when they talk about the “models” they eat: “Now they are super models / I don’t know if hyper models exist, but if they exist I want them,” Paco sings.
The chorus is as catchy as anything they’ve done in their explosive career, and as fun as ever. In it, Ca7riel and Paco list the things they are no longer satisfied with, such as “the house I wanted”, “the woman of my life” or “having a full account.”
The video documents the night of debauchery following the awards ceremony, which took place in Las Vegas. The duo goes to the casino, the strip club or the Nevada desert to burn their own inflatable heads to say goodbye to the ‘PAPOTA’ era.
