Enrique Bunbury publishes New Disco on April 25, ‘Pending Accounts’, in which he reviews traditional sounds of Latin American and Iberian music. Yes, Bunbury also follows the path of folklore and changes third with respect to his previous works.
‘To get here’, the first single of ‘pending accounts’, has mixed bolero rhythm with Portuguese guitar and accordion. The second, ‘the fucking desire to cry’, has been a bolero again. In ‘pending accounts’, the Spanish guitar, piano, double bass and percussions are the main instruments.
The third advance of ‘pending accounts’ has been published today. ‘You can go to everything, it emits an obvious influence of border Tex-Mex music, but its percussion fits the style of Andean music or cumbia. In summary: it is again a mixture of styles. The melody is classic and the chorus lends itself to the collective choreo.
‘You can get everything accustomed to’ is narrated from the point of view of a character who has succumbed to resentment and spends the “dead hours” in solitude or plunged into “modern demands.” “The sorrows of life are immense, and each one has their opinion / What could I add to such confusion, you can get used to the worst,” Sings the Zaragozano with his usual verve.
Enrique Bunbury announced this year the ‘Hurricane Ambulante Tour’ by 2025, the tour with which he will get on stage after announcing his withdrawal from them due to health problems. Bunbury will perform in Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza, on September 13, 18 and 20, 2025, and will also visit Latin America and the United States.
