Last February the rumor circulated that an album tribute to Michael Jackson was in production, based on recordings that the King of Pop made in 2006 during his stay in the Grouse Lodge studio, in Ireland, where he met with several artists, including Will.i.am, of the Black Eyed Peas. There is even a website dedicated to the project.
Irish businessman Paddy Dunning, owner of the study, said that the alleged tribute album to Michael Jackson would have the participation of K -Pop artists as BTS. However, both BTS and Jackson’s team have denied their involvement in this project.
While Michael’s team has branded any information involved in the rumored album to the author of ‘Thriller’, BTS, Bighit Music, has categorically denied the participation of the South Korean band in the project.
“We would like to clarify the recent media information about the alleged participation of BTS in a tribute album to Michael Jackson,” Bighit Music wrote in his statement. «BTS has not visited the Grouse Lodge study in Ireland or has participated in any recording session in that place for the aforementioned project. The group is not involved in the tribute album in any way. We continue taking the appropriate measures to prevent the dissemination of inaccurate information ».
Recently, the producer Lionsgate has communicated the delay of the premiere of the biopic of Michael Jackson, ‘Michael’, who would finally arrive in cinemas on April 24, 2026. It is likely that, given its duration of three and a half hours, the tape is divided into two parts.
