Britney Spears writes a novel

Britney Spears is still retired from music… but it seems that she has taken a liking to the literary industry, because she has just announced that she is “writing a novel.” Of course, he did it at the end of a long text in which he mainly dedicated himself to praising other female artists, as if he thought that the phrase in question was going to go unnoticed.

“I’m retired writing my novel and learning about myself” is the brief phrase that Spears has published on her Instagram account. Spears, who published her successful memoirs in 2023, ‘The Woman I Am’, could prepare a second part, or another type of narrative.

Precisely, ‘The Woman I Am’ will form the basis of a new film about Spears announced by Universal Pictures that is in the process of development. Jon M. Chu, about to release ‘Wicked’, is going to direct the film, which has the approval of the singer.

In addition to ‘The Woman I Am’, Spears had already published two books with her mother, Lynne Spears, that you may not remember; these books are ‘Heart to Heart’ (2000) and ‘A Mother’s Gift’ (2001).

As for the artists that Britney mentions in her text, the singer does not mention Ariana Grande, who just imitated her on Saturday Night Live, but she does mention Camila Cabello, Natalie Portman and the model Kendall Jenner. Additionally, Spears shares words of affection for Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, two people who attended her wedding with her now ex-husband, Sam Asghari.

Lately, Spears has been in the news for the leak of four unreleased songs taken from the sessions for ‘In the Zone’ (2003), her fourth studio album. Spears recently announced that she will “never” return to the music industry.
