Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) releases double single

Brian Fallonleader of The Gaslight Anthempresents “Not Bad For New Jersey” and “Better Before”, two unreleased songs that represent his first solo release in five years.

The new songs by the American singer and guitarist have been produced by Butch Walker and released through the Lesser Known Records label, and explore emotional wounds and moments of uncertainty from different perspectives.

On “Not Bad For New Jersey” Fallon looks back to his roots in a tribute to New Jersey, the place where he grew up. The singer describes the song as a reflection on the path taken and the hardness that shaped his character, remembering the moments in which he felt that everything could go wrong, but also the feeling of having managed to stay standing. On the other hand, “Better Before”, written with the singer-songwriter Donovan Woodsportrays the deterioration of a romantic relationship in a more intimate and vulnerable way.

Fallon’s solo return also comes accompanied by an upcoming live event. The musician will participate on June 4 in the concert “Music America: The Songs That Shaped Us – Celebrating 250 Years of American Music”, an event that will be held at Monmouth University and in which he will share the bill with Bruce Springsteen, Rosanne Cash and Kenny Chesney.
