Brent Hinds, founding member of Mastodon dies in traffic accident

The death of Brent Hindswho was a founding member of the metal band Mastodonuntil he left the training in March of this year. The cause has been a traffic accident.

Brent Hinds died on the night of August 20 – at fifty -one years – in Atlanta because of a traffic accident when he was driving his Harley Davidson by road. The collision with an SUV that did not respect an yield would be what caused the deadly coke.

Hinds was not only a founding member of Mastodon, but he was one of the most imaginative musicians of his generation, contributing a very special sound to the band that formed with Troy Sanders and who debuted recorded in 2002 with “Remission” to evolve from underground metal to become “Blood Mountain” in one of the most revered groups on the scene. His career continued with jobs like “Emperor of Sand” (17) o “Hushed and Grim” (21).

Brent Hinds left Mastodon by mutual agreement last March, being replaced by YouTuber and musician Ben Eller, known on platforms for his series “This is why you suc as guitar”. In peace rest one of the most charismatic musicians of the metal scene of the last twenty years.
