The pre-gala of the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards, where most categories are announced, has left important news for music lovers. The most notable is that Boygenius has won the first three Grammys of his career, highlighting the one he won for ‘The Record’ for Best Alternative Music Album.
Whether it’s Boygenius or Paramore’s triumphs thanks to ‘This Is Why’, this inevitably means the defeat of Lana Del Rey and her ‘Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd’ in the alternative genre categories. In this way, while she has not yet smelled victory (she still has options in the main categories), Paramore, Boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monét, Fred again… or Featherweight do manage to win their first Grammy during the pre-gala.
Another piece of news from the pre-gala is Kylie Minogue’s triumph in the Best Pop Dance Recording category thanks to her hit ‘Padam Padam’, the second Grammy of her career after the one achieved by her song ‘Come Into My World’ . Additionally, the Grammys also had their ‘Barbenheimer’ moment, awarding ‘Oppenheimer’ the gramophone for Best Soundtrack and leaving ‘Barbie’ the gramophone for Best Soundtrack Compilation.
