Book Music Festival, also known as Barcelona Musical Literature Fairhas shared its full schedule of performances, presentations and debates. This year it will become the Musical Book Week.
From the February 25 to March 1Barcelona will become the Mecca of musical literature with musical performances, DJ sets, debates, presentations and a fair where you will not only find the latest releases of the season, but also catalog collections from the most important publishers in the sector.
The activities will be held in various settings such as Casinet D’Hostafrancs, Vapor Vell Library, Albareda Cultural Center and VisualKornerwith a presentation party on Thursday, February 26 at the Old Damm Factory with the performance of Bons Nois and Siamiss DJ.
In this second edition, names such as those of the writers appear Benoit Clerc (author of “Prince. The story behind his 684 songs”), Kiko Amat (chat with Alicia Rodriguez about “The best Pop and subculture books in history according to KA”), Miguel Barrero (dialogue with Jordi Bianciotto about Cohen, Lorca and popular music in reference to his book “The Montreal Guitarist”) and others.
Likewise, a long list of journalists will participate presenting books and chatting about them, including Luis Benavides, Nando Cruz, Jordi Bianciotto, Joan S. Luna, José de Montfort, Toni Castarnado, Francesc Galí, Orioll Rosell, Pere Pons, Nacho Herrero, Lorena Montón and Noelia Murillo.
There will also be a good list of musicians who love (and practice) lyrics. This is the case, for example, of Josele Santiagowho will be present to sign your book “From the Jergón”, Xavier Baro (presenting book, “S’invoca joglaria”), Anna Andreu (talk and audition with Toni Castarnado about his creative process), Aurelio Morata, Caïm Riba (about his father’s book “Psychòtic! Pau Riba & Dioptria”), Edi Pou (battery The Sara Fontans. Za!), as well as the actions, among others, of Eric Fuentes, Anna Andreu, Versonautas, Jordi Pèlach with Ulrich Sandner, Enric Casasses & Marc Egea (poetry and music), Fluke Faction, Bons Nois and Siamiss DJ. In its second edition, The Book Music Festival will feature publishers and bookstores, literary presentations, round tables, debates and the Young Story Prize and the Musical Photography Prize.
