Book Music Festival announces a second edition for next year

He Book Music Festival, Barcelona Musical Literature Festivalhas announced the dates of what will be its second edition and some of the first guests at the Barcelona event.

He Book Music Festival, Barcelona Musical Literature Festivalhas officially confirmed a second edition that will take place between February 5 and March 1, 2026although it has also announced that there will be a change of location.

The first actions that have been confirmed are those of Joan Colomo, Enric Casasses, Versonautes, Juanjo Bosk and Jordi Pélach. In any case, more names will be announced shortly, as well as book presentations and other news.

This second edition, which seeks to expand the number of attendees, expanding its range of activities, presentations, etc. Hence, the festival is open to the commercial sector, which ranges from publishers to bookstores, through distributors, bibliophiles and fan readers in search of artistic-musical encyclopedic volumes to comic book artists, graphic designers or book/album cover illustrators, all related.

The new scenarios will be the following:

-Casinet d’ Hostafrancs · Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. New and Used Book Fair; for activities around the musical book. Presentations, debates, round tables, awards ceremony, concerts/djs Photographic exhibition of “Mario Olmos”, the winner of the 2025 edition
-Zumzeig Cinema · Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1, from 12 noon to 4 pm Presentations, round tables, debates, etc.
-Vapor Vell Library · February 25 to 27 Official Press Conference, previews of the festival

Acoustic concerts and other activities to be specified:

-Albareda Cultural Center · from February 5 to 26 Exhibition of the “finalist photographs” of the participants in the
-Live Music Photography Award 2026. Concerts (to be specified)

As in the 1st edition, professionals from the different sectors linked to the publishing of musical books; editors, journalists, writers, photographers and relevant figures from the artistic and intellectual scene will be present with their participation.

Registration to reserve a professional stand is open until December 15. Also those of the Live Music Photography Award and the Young Musical Story Award.
