Bonnie Tyler, singer of pop classics such as ‘Total Eclipse of The Heart’ and ‘Holding Out For A Hero’, has been admitted to a hospital in Portugal to receive an emergency intestinal operation. This was announced by her team on the artist’s website.
“We are very sorry to announce that Bonnie has been admitted to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she has a home, for an emergency intestinal operation,” the statement begins. However, along the same lines, the artist’s team reassures her fans, assuring that “the operation went well and she is currently recovering.”
This month, Tyler has a European summer tour scheduled, starting May 22 in Malta, and continuing with shows in Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Austria, Scotland, United Kingdom, Romania, Switzerland, Denmark and Wales. The statement does not specify whether the tour will continue: “We know that her family, friends and fans will be worried about this news and will be wishing her a speedy recovery,” the message concludes.
