Bonaerense presents “Let it be with me” a video preview of what will be their debut EP: Regions (Sound Disorder 2024).
The band from Almería already has their debut in the oven, in EP format, under the label Desorden Sonoro. Regiones will be released on October 4th and as the fourth preview after Plaza Moscow, they bring us this Let it be with me with a road trip flavour without any tricks. The video is a clear statement of intent, and it is when a group of friends enjoy taking their music to venues and events carrying amps and instruments with the enthusiasm of a child who makes a tree house even in the rain, that is called ganas. Because since their first single Palomas Negras was released, the scene chirped non-stop about this new formation and in response, they filled their live shows. So this starting point leaves us wanting more and if it has to be, Let it be with me.
Bonaerense envelops us in a nostalgic sound with disparate influences such as Las Ligas Menores, Décima Víctima or La Plata, mixing elements of post punk and the most current pop. This project, from Almería, finds its characteristic sign in the Argentine accent of Cata, the band’s soloist, a Buenos Aires native who has lived in Spain since her adolescence. In Bonaerense’s lyrics, the intention of getting back in touch with their origins from an imaginary point of view is evident, connecting with diffuse memories on the border between fiction and nostalgia.
