'Jump' of Blackpink: antidote for a summer too quiet

Music news

Blackpink settle in the global top 1 with ‘Jump’

Upon exit, Blackpink ‘Jump’ had to settle for number 2 of the Spotify global, behind the irregular ‘daisies’ of Justin Bieber. But whoever laughs the last, laughs better.

The South Korean band amounted to number 1 of the Spotify global on the second day of the market, last Saturday, and remains in this same position in Monday’s data. That is, it has already been in number 1 global (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), so it is perfectly settled as a new world hit for Blackpink.

Malasia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Hong Kong are some of the markets where ‘Jump’ is most like, because in these territories it has been around Top 2. But it has also had great results in Germany (#12 on Spotify) or the United States (#25). In Spain it has moved all these days around 55th place, so its entry into promusicae, at least, is guaranteed.

In the United Kingdom, always such a competitive market, ‘Jump’ is in the 21st position of the Midweeks. That is, you will not see this issue in the first position of the Anglo-Saxon or Latin markets, but as usual in the case of the K-Pop, the sum of a certain interest in all corners of the globe is making strength.
