Billie Eilish to perform at Olympic closing ceremony

Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Sunday, August 11, Variety confirms. The three artists will be seen performing “from Los Angeles” in a mix of “pre-recorded and live performances.”

Paris will thus pass the baton of the Olympic Games to Los Angeles, the city that will host the event in 2028. Before that, in 2026, the Winter Olympics will be held in Milan.

Snoop Dogg has been one of the most talked about figures in recent weeks for his presence in Paris, where he was among those carrying the torch for the American delegation.

Tom Cruise is another of the American artists confirmed for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games. The actor will appear in a segment called “Welcome to Los Angeles.”

Phoenix and Air are rumoured to be performing at the closing ceremony in Paris. Neither group has confirmed their participation, but Phoenix has fuelled the rumour by posting a salute to Paris on Instagram: “Great to see the city hosting the Olympics,” the group wrote.
