Big Thief flow in ‘Words’

‘Double Infinity’ has been our last album of the week. A great album of which we already highlight the single ‘misunderstanding’ and in which even tracks that were not single as ‘not Fear’ or ‘Happy With You’, which manage to make repetition, their virtue.

Today we select as a song of the day the second cut of the album, ‘Words’. In it, the melody flows beautiful while the beautiful voice of Adrianne Lenker appeals to the “subconscious” again and again. In fact, the way in which the word “subconscious” sings seems to form the true chorus of the composition.

Among other things, that “subconscious” refers to the way in which we hums a melody “in loop” and that is what ends up with ‘Words’, how could it be otherwise. A song about how vague the “words” can be to express our feelings. A stanza says: “Words make no sense,” “words are not going to do well” or “words are tired and tense.”
