The duo BICEP presents “Takkuk“, an audiovisual installation created with indigenous artists of the Arctic to make visible the impact of climate change in their communities through music and documentary material.
BICEPtogether with the visua artistLK NORMAN and the filmmaker Charlie Millerhas created “Takkuuk”, an audiovisual installation on indigenous artists of the Arctic. The project opens in Outernet London and is part of the program “Earthsonic“Of the beneficial organization”IN PLACE OF WAR“
The installation uses music and visual materials to show the consequences of climate change in the indigenous communities of Greenland, Sweden, Norway and Canada. The objective is to document the environmental impact, the displacement of people and the loss of languages and traditions. The music of “Takkuk“It is the result of a joint work between BICEP and several indigenous artists: Katarina Barruk, Andachan, Sebastian Enequist, Tarrak, Nuija, Niilas and Silla.
