Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Charli xcx… nominated for the 2025 Grammys

As we already anticipated, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are the favorites for the 2025 Grammys. Likewise, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter and Charli xcx, who receives her first nomination for Album of the Year, are also present in the main categories.

The author of ‘COWBOY CARTER’ has been the artist with the most nominations in this edition of the Grammys, taking home 11 statuettes in total. In fact, she has surpassed Jay-Z’s record and has become the most nominated artist in the history of the awards. The American, like Post Malone with ‘F-1 Trillion’, has focused on the country categories, so they will have to compete among themselves. On the other hand, Taylor Swift is now the first woman to have been nominated for Album of the Year seven times.

It’s a big year for pop at the Grammys. Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, both nominated for Breakthrough Artist, could also take home Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ by Billie Eilish and ‘BRAT’ by Charli xcx have both received seven mentions. However, Dua Lipa and her ‘Radical Optimism’ have not been so lucky. The British has received 0 nominations this year.

One of the rarities of this year is the inclusion of The Beatles, nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance with ‘Now and Then’, their latest song. They had never won this category before, although it is difficult to win this time given the great competition they face. Another inclusion that no one expected was André 3000 in Album of the Year, thanks to ‘New Blue Sun’, in which he left rap aside and focused on instrumental wind music.

In the rock category, Fontaines DC’s ‘Romance’ competes with Green Day or The Rolling Stones, but strangely the Irish band has not been nominated for Best Song or Best Rock Performance. ‘Starburster’ is the only song nominated, in Best Alternative Music Performance.
