Beck releases an EP of covers and songs for soundtracks

beck has released his new EP “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” composed of covers, unreleased recordings and soundtrack songs.

The artist has presented his new project: a new EP titled “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” composed of eight songs Among which stand out some of his singles, contributions to soundtracks, eclectic covers and a couple of unreleased recordings: “Your Cheatin’ Heart” and “True Love Will Find You In The End”.

The homonymous song that gives its name to the project is the version of The Korgis that the artist recorded for the soundtrack of “The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” (04), and which has become one of the classics in their concerts. The only original song from beck Included in the project is “Ramona,” which was written for the OST of “Scott Pilgrim Against The World” (10). Two versions of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley and “I Only Have Eyes For You” by The Flamingos. The artist sings “Love”, paying homage to John Lennon and also to Caetano Veloso in “Michelangelo Antonioni”. Finally, the EP is completed by the unreleased versions “Your Cheatin’ Heart” by Hank Williams and “True Love Will Find You In The End” by Daniel Johnston.

With his experimental sound, Beck, an American composer and multi-instrumentalist, rose to fame in the 1990s with his lo-fi style, and became known for creating musical collages of a wide range of styles. His recordings cover all types of styles such as folk, funk, soul, alternative rock, hip-hop, electronica, country and psychedelia.
