Bebe Rexha is not short of disappointments. The ‘Bebe’ singer was banned from a flight yesterday after what she described as a “hate crime” due to her Albanian ancestry. She told this story on Instagram Stories.
The singer’s story showed her at Munich airport, tearfully declaring that a security guard had not let her board her Lufthansa flight: “I was threatened because I thought the security guard was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian asking where I could get my ticket and now he is banning me from the flight,” wrote Rexha.
In another post, the singer described what happened as a “hate crime for being Albanian”: “He wouldn’t let me know his name. He has continued to mentally abuse me to make me feel like he had more power than he did.” She went on to say that “none of the women” at Lufthansa intervened in any way.
