Bad Gyal’s vinyl can’t beat Quevedo either

Quevedo also remains unbeatable on the album chart in Spain. ‘El Baifo’ holds number 1 for the fourth consecutive week, already certified platinum for the equivalent of 40,000 copies. That’s more than 10,000 on average per week. And without physical edition.

The strongest rise of the week is ‘Más cara’ by Bad Gyal, which goes from position 8 to position 2 due to the vinyl edition. Bad Gyal is once again left without the official number 1 in Spain with this release but at least it can boast of being top 1 on vinyl. In addition, it is a gold record, that is, another success for Alba Farelo.

The strongest entry of the week is that of Malú, although this time her album ‘Quince’ is far from competing for the first places. All Malú albums published between 2010 and 2023 were number 1 in Spain, but this one is even outside the top 3: it is only number 5.

The big question of the week is where the Drake albums that have been number 1, number 2 and number 3 in the United States were going to fall in Spain, which constitutes a record. Well, ‘Iceman’ has reached number 8, ‘Habibti’ at number 38 and ‘Maid of Honor’ at number 44. Of course, not a single Drake song appears in the Spanish top 100, despite having achieved all those figures, especially with streaming.

Triángulo de Amor Bizarro reach number 53 with ‘Mi Catedral’, our Album of the Week (and of the month), which constitutes an improvement from ‘Sed’, which was top 62. Above all, we must highlight the top 10 achieved in the vinyl chart by the Galician band.

The entries are completed with ‘Secho Gang’ by Sech (33), ‘Loco x Volver’ by Maluma (37) and ‘Gravitas’ by Eli Toffana (89).
