Azkena Rock Festival presents the closed sign and the schedules for its three days. As a novelty, this year comes family programming Txiki ARF, a series of activities for boys and girls, starting early in the afternoon on Friday and Saturday. Besides, Lisa & The Lips and The Pickin' Boppers They will bring music to the city center with their free access performances.
Azkena Rock Festival will be celebrated on days June 20, 21 and 22 in Mendizabala, Vitoria-Gasteiz. Due to its stages and covering different styles, figures such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Band Of Horses, Sheryl Crow, Jane's Addiction, L7, Mavis Staples, Warren Haynes Band, Tarque & La Asociación del Riff, Redd Kross, Arde Bogotá, Ty Segall, PiL.T, The Real McKenzies, Lendakaris dead and up to a total of 56 bands.
Today they join this cast Barry Adamsonmusician who has been part of bands such as Buzzcocks or Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, with his solo career; and Bullet, a grunge and stoner group formed by two Galician artists. All schedules and different performances are available at the end of the article.
The day starts at White Virgin Square at vermouth time with live music and free access and a varied gastronomic offer. Friday will be the turn of Lisa & The Lipswhile, the next day, Saturday, they will arrive The Pickin' Boppers. In addition, this edition presents a novelty for families: the proposal Txiki ARF, a space within the framework of the festival with concerts, workshops and children's activities that generate a meeting point, leisure and coexistence around rock. There will be three concerts per day recreating some of the best songs by artists who have performed on the stages of the Azkena Rock Festival and that are part of the history of rock as The Who, John Fogerty, Iggy & The Stooges, Scorpions, ZZ Top, Sex Pistols, Deep Purple or The Black Crows. Between performances, the stage will host air guitar and rock bingo contests, both with gifts for the audience. And, in addition, workshops for making personalized badges and picks and rock face painting. All this, Friday and Saturday in the second tent of Trashville for the family audience 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Admission for children under 14 years of age will be free for another year and there will be a special access lane for families.
