Azealia Banks insults Charli xcx and threatens to report Matty Healy

Azealia Banks and Matty Healy have starred in a sad show on

It all starts two days ago when Banks shares a clip from Charli’s song ‘Break The Rules’, released in 2014: «Charli used to be soooo pretty. Ugh,” Banks posted. Matty Healy, bandmate of the ‘BRAT’ author’s fiancé, quickly intervened.

«All the women you attack seem to be culturally relevant, attractive and good people. I think this makes you jealous because you are very talented but everything else about you is a failure. Just rap, bro,” the frontman responded.

Here begins an almost endless exchange of insults and unfortunate comments, in which Charli also comes off badly. At one point, Banks says that the British woman looks like “Frankenstein” and both she and the singer seem to “share a needle.” It is then that Healy publishes a response that he later deletes: “Talk to me like that and I’m not going to make you a side eye in some awards but I’m going to slap you so hard that they’re going to give me a Guinness record.”

Although the singer apologized in the following tweet, there was no turning back. That’s when the conversation turns to private messages: “He’s been apologizing to me and begging me not to report but I’m fucking tired. And people are going to learn to respect,” Azaelia published. She admitted that she had not “slept all night” after feeling “very stressed.”

The last thing Healy said on the subject is that he does not have “the emotional intelligence/maturity necessary for social media”: “I literally always end up saying things that I immediately regret. Having manic episodes on Twitter at 35 years old is quite pathetic.
