The artist talks about how hard it has been to change management, and feel betrayed by two of her closest people: Circut, her ex-boyfriend, producer and right hand, and Madison Love, her former friend and co-author. These have initiated a relationship together by breaking Circut and Ava Max, apparently portrayed in the single ‘spot a fake’, which in the end has been discarded from this ‘Don’t Click Play’.
Ava Max does not speak explicitly about them, but at all avoids them: «I have made this album because I wanted to show that I can do the album of my dreams without my last collaborators. I know that my fans know what happened: I was betrayed and my heart broke. It really hurt me ». It opens about how bad it has happened, even crying for weeks.
