Arcade Fire have announced that their new album, ‘Pink Elephant’, leaves May 9. Win Butler and Régine Chassagne have announced the launch of the album through their Fans app, reports NME. During a transmission, the group has reproduced the single On April 4 they shared a different theme through the same app called ‘Cars and Telephones’.
‘Pink Elephant’ will be the successor of ‘We’, launched in 2022, and will also be Arcade Fire’s first job after the accusations of sexual abuse poured against Butler in 2022. Butler responded to the allegations apologizing for “having hurt someone with my behavior” but argued that the relations “had been consented.”
The accusations led FEIST and Beck to leave the Arcade Fire tour.
Arcade Fire’s career has continued in recent years and last year the group offered one of the most celebrated concerts of Bilbao BBK Live. In fact, Spain has been an important focus on the Arcade Fire tour in the last couple of years, also falling to Cala Mijas (Málaga) or Sevilla Fest.
This year, on the other hand, Arcade Fire celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘funeral’ with a series of concerts announced in North America.
